Nottingham Sunday league team takes on Bulgarian prime minister

Players from Nottingham United, who usually play in the East Midlands Public Authorities League, were treated to attention normally warranted to the Premier League, after it became clear Boyko Borisov was playing up front for his home town team.
The group of players, who arrived at the game hung-over after a night out in Bulgaria, found the prime minister turning out for third division side Vitosha

Although now 51, Mr Borisov still plays for his local team occasionally, who won the match convincingly 6-0.
And the Bulgarian leader proved a handful, winning his team one of three penalties.
Aaron Cottrell, 24, who fouled the prime minister, said the situation was “surreal”.
“Not many people can claim to have brought down the Bulgarian Prime Minister,” he told The Sun.
Mr Borisov, a Premier League fan, reportedly enjoyed the match so much that he wants a rematch in Nottingham next year.
